Admittedly a bit confused. I have rewatched this short several times looking for all the details in view. I am not seeing a "Strap" anywhere. Can you clarify?

@@MadMaxCars Damn, I don’t know how to describe this exactly...in general, in your video where you make a carburetor, there is a third “bearing” on the left side or what is it called? (I don’t know much about cars srry :( ) because of this, the belt seems to go to the left a little. And in the second part, where Max’s car was in the garage without a hood, we see that there are only these two large bearings, and the belt “stands” straight, and not diagonally to the left. In any case, these are just assumptions, you are still doing a wonderful job.

@@_Mirakill_ Ah Ok you are talking about the blower belt. In the one shot in the garage without the hood on, you can see the "Swing Arm" on the old vintage Weiand front cover is adjusted to have the tensioner pulley directly under the drive pulley. We generally have it adjusted where it actually functions correctly as intended to tension the belt.

In the filming of the first two films, the crew has been very forthcoming that the blower was driven off a belt from the crank, no clutch or electric motor or anything. For scenes with the blower "on" the belt was in place. For shots of the blower "off" the removed the belt so the blower would not turn. For the shot of the blower "starting" they just filmed the engine starting close up so the blower began turning. We use a clutch in our modern builds so clients can have the "Movie Magic", but when filming a low budget movie you do whatever is cheapest and still looks right. Though it is "theoretically" possible to build an engine with an on/off blower it is at the least cost prohibitive. We do build cars with Functional Superchargers, for the clients who want that, most want the "Movie Magic" superhero power of the On/Off blower. We get this question surprisingly often. The short answer is "Yes". However we always follow that with letting the prospective customer know that it is perfectly legal to drive a RHD car in most places in the country, and the question "Why would anyone want to invest a substantial amount of money to take away one of the unique and cool elements of the car?". So far nobody has actually had us convert one to LHD. Rest assured we can do it, but it would be a sad day when someone has it done.

Yes rattling, i knew something was off because my phone kept acting up. I dont have equipment to record my car but I can tell you I drive a 67 Impala with a 327 engine and camel hump headers with a 2 speed power glide transmission.
